FAQs

  • Yes! I am currently accepting new adult clients and am also accepting new play therapy clients at The Sensory Space. I would love to connect with you! The more flexible your availability, the sooner we can get you scheduled. To take the first step, simply fill out the inquiry form on our Contact page and I will be in touch to get you started on your healing journey.

  • I am currently an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I do provide a Superbill a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. To find out what your plan covers, contact your insurance provider and ask specifically about your "Out-of-Network Benefits for billing code 90834.

This simple call can give you a clear picture of what reimbursement may be available to you.

  • Individual therapy sessions are $165-200 per session. I believe that investing in your mental health is one of the most powerful decisions you can make for yourself, and I am committed to making that investment as accessible as possible. If cost is a concern, please don't hesitate to ask about sliding scale options I want to make sure finances are never the reason you don't get the support you deserve.

  • A sliding scale is a flexible, reduced session rate based on your financial need and individual circumstances. I do offer a limited number of sliding scale spots because I firmly believe that quality, culturally responsive mental health care should be within reach for as many people as possible. If you are interested in discussing sliding scale availability, please mention it when you reach out and we can have that conversation with compassion and without judgment.

  • I completely understand that life happens and schedules change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I simply ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice so that I am able to offer that time to another client in need.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. Your time is valuable, and so is mine this policy helps us both show up fully for our work together.

  • Play therapy is a research-supported, developmentally appropriate approach to mental health treatment designed specifically for children. Just as adults process their thoughts and emotions through conversation, children naturally communicate through play it is their language.

In play therapy, the playroom becomes a safe and therapeutic space where children are free to express feelings, work through challenges, and make sense of their experiences in a way that feels natural and comfortable to them.

As a play therapist, I am trained to observe and engage with a child's play in ways that are intentional and clinically meaningful. Through toys, art, storytelling, and creative expression, children are able to explore difficult emotions, develop healthy coping skills, build confidence, and process experiences they may not yet have the words to describe. Play therapy is effective for children navigating anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, grief, family transitions, and so much more.

Parents are an essential part of the play therapy process. I believe that healing happens in relationship, and keeping caregivers informed, involved, and supported along the way is a priority. If you have questions about whether play therapy may be a good fit for your child, I would love to connect and talk it through with you.
